| Team 223 Ready to Set Philly Ablaze |
Well, not literally of course. We're just really excited to set off for our second robotics competition, the Philadelphia Regional, tomorrow morning! After a great run in Trenton, we have improved upon some of our technical elements, our driving, and our strategy, and we are ready to take on the best Philly has to offer.
The competition is taking place at Drexel University. Come see us compete or watch us online by webcast, graciously provided by Team 341. Tomorrow is practice matches, Friday (the 26th) is Qualification Matches, and Saturday (the 27th) will be Elimination Matches and Finals. You will also be able to follow us on our Twitter page, where we will be posting the times and results of our matches.

| Team 223 Heats Up the NJ Regional |

Team 223 is back from the New Jersey Regional, and we are very happy with our performance. Our first match was the highest scoring and most exciting one at the regional up to that point; our alliance worked together extremely well, winning 7-0. In our second match, we were paired with teams 25 and 41, and set a national high score of 11 which lasted for most of the day. At the end of qualification matches on Sunday morning, we were a little out of the top 8 teams, so we didn't get to pick our own alliance. However, we joined Team 1279, Cold Fusion and Team Mercury (1089) in the #7 alliance. Some bad luck kept us from the semifinals, but we are still very proud of our accomplishments and are really looking forward to Philly.
We are currently preparing for our second regional, the Philadelphia Regional, which will be held at Drexel University from March 25 - 27. For more information, click here. If you plan to come, please let us know!

Tomorrow, bright and early, we head off to our first robotics
competition of 2010: the New Jersey Regional at Sun National Bank
Center (formerly Sovereign Bank Arena) in Trenton, NJ. Everyone is
invited to come watch, it is an amazing event, and admission is free!
The competition is set up as follows: tomorrow (Friday March 5th) will
be practice time, Saturday into Sunday morning will be qualification
matches, and Sunday afternoon will be elimination matches and finals.

Now that we have shipped our 2010 robot, Team 223's attention has turned to preparations for our first competition, the NJ Regional, which will be held March 5-7 at Sun National Bank Center (formerly Sovereign Bank Arena) in Trenton, NJ. | Shipdate Approaches! |

| The robot ship deadline is 2/23 (good omen anyone?), so our robot must be complete and fully functional by then. We will be spending this coming weekend working intensely, testing and debugging the robot, as well as building our competition pit. |

| On February 4, 2010, Team 223 will be holding a movie night at 6:30 pm in the Lakeland Regional High School Auditorium. Come support our team and see Transformers on the big screen! |

| A Robotics-Packed Weekend for Team 223 |
|---|
| This coming weekend will be a busy one for Team 223. Saturday, January 9 is the 2010 Kickoff which we will be attending at NJIT. It will begin at about 10:00 am and can be viewed here. Simultaneously, team members involved in VEX "Clean Sweep" will be competing at Summit HS in Summit, NJ.

Then, on Sunday, January 10th all team members, mentors, and parents are invited to a brainstorming session beginning at 12:00 in Room 302.
